many people have heard of a man named andrew w.k. i remember when i was introduced to his music by my crazy college roommate. at the time, i had a loud stereo system in my dorm room and occasionally, i would play music [e.g. "who let the dogs out"]. i started playing andrew w.k. as a joke, since almost every song was about partying. it was tacky and cliche.
however, at some point, it switched from being a joke and became an anthem. i believe this was after i started reading into who andrew w.k. is.
why does this man want to party so hard?
i found out it is not just about partying. it is about living. as andrew says, “BEING ALIVE!” it is about doing what you want. it is about making your dreams come true.
andrew w.k. just released a statement, because many people are calling him a fraud. stating he is a puppet told what to do by record executives.
andrew, from a person who is constantly challenged by other people about how to live their life, keep being andrew w.k. keep inspiring.
i look forward to seeing you on feb 23.
and of course, PARTY HARD!
